Our Instructors

John Taylor

John Taylor began his water and wastewater treatment career over 25 years ago while working for Equistar Chemical.  Since then, he has operated groundwater, surface water, and wastewater facilities across the southern part of Texas. He joined Municipal Operations and Consulting in 2013 as an Operator and now serves as the Chair of the Executive Management team.

​

He has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Business Administration from Southwest University, and holds A-level licenses as both a Water and Wastewater Operator, in addition to a Customer Service Inspector license. He is an approved instructor through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and teaches numerous water and wastewater treatment courses using the TEEX curriculum.

John loves the challenges and day-to-day problem solving that is required to succeed in MUD operations.

Miguel Sarricolea

Miguel Sarricolea boasts an extensive track record spanning over a decade within the Water and Wastewater industry, commencing his journey in 2011 at a modest wastewater plant in South Texas. With hands-on expertise exceeding 12 years, he has garnered invaluable experience across field and laboratory environments. Over the course of his career, Miguel has operated Ground Water and Wastewater Facilities, executing numerous Customer Service Inspections for residential and commercial properties. Transitioning to Municipal Operations and Consulting in 2017, he assumed the role of an operator, and is now an area supervisor contributing significantly to daily operational oversight alongside fellow operators.

Presently, Miguel holds the A Wastewater, A Water, and CSI licenses, underscoring his comprehensive proficiency in regulatory compliance and operational management. His accreditation as an approved instructor by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality further underscores his commitment to education and professional development. Notably, he serves as an instructor for Purify Learning, leveraging approved TEEX curriculums to impart knowledge and skills to aspiring professionals.
